Bio:
I am first a human who grew up surrounded by relationships, be it family, friends, or community, then as a marriage and family therapist. My education and training is in relational therapies.
I am a person who sees the world, relating new ideas back to what I already know. So, I provide a lot of metaphors, some a bit strange, and a dash of humor to support clients in working through their areas of stuckness to find new solutions.
My therapy philosophy is that a therapist is like a friend to shine a light around the attic with you, where they can help you deal with what we know is up there, like the weird junk we’ve gathered and held onto for years. They can also point out the leaky window and water damage we may have not known about, but may be harming the rest of our home if not dealt with.
Fun Fact:
I am happiest when on my bike or in the garden.
