At my core, I consider myself a creator. Through creative expression, we discover and cultivate an understanding of who we are. It is here that we envision, dream, and take action to become.
“There is a vitality, a life force, an energy, a quickening that is translated through you into action, and because there is only one of you in all time, this expression is unique. And if you block it, it will never exist through any other medium and will be lost.”
― Martha Graham
Creating can mean sitting down to paint, sketch, sing, and/or learn a new instrument. It can also mean building a home, a family, and/or a relationship. In its simplest form, we create by what we choose to wear, and how we speak and think. How fortunate we are to be given a life through which we co-create experiences.
I am an Occupational Therapist but I consider myself a learner and artist of life. I lead with curiosity, a sense of openness, and play. This inquisitive nature helps you to see more, to build new avenues of potential, and to discover ways to flourish.
I take into account all aspects of your life. Your physical health, mental/emotional well-being, environment, education, ability to partake in daily life tasks, and spirituality. These are the ingredients of your life that you create with.
Above all, I value a compassionate, client-centered approach. No two people are the same and we feel different day to day. I draw upon a wide set of clinical skills from Internal Family Systems, nervous system regulation, yoga, meditation, women’s health, and nutrition. I work with individuals across the life space from child to older adults. I specialize in working with depression, anxiety, trauma, delinquent behaviors, grief, pelvic floor dysfunction, relationship dynamics, and sensory processing disorder.
